Terms and conditions

YOUR USE OF THE SALONE TALK WEBSITE AND SERVICE IS SUBJECT TO YOUR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE TERMS. BY ORDERING OR USING THE SERVICES, YOU (THE CUSTOMER) ACKNOWLEDGE HAVING READ AND ACCEPTED, WITHOUT RESERVATION, TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. YOU WARRANT THAT YOU ARE DULY AUTHORISED TO COMMIT THE ENTITY ON BEHALF OF WHICH YOU ARE ACTING.

These terms and conditions set out the terms under which we provide our services. References to “we”, “us” and “our” are to Salone Talk and we refer to you as “you” and “your”.

1. Who we are
   
1.1 Salone Talk is owned and operated by Salone Talk ( Sierra Leone ) Limited. Salone Talk ( Sierra Leone ) Limited has its operations based in Freetown and is registered as a Limited Company in Sierra Leone.

2. Your account
   
2.1

You need to register with us before we will allow you to open an account to access our services. The information you give us must be true or we can end or suspend your account. We do not have to agree to open an account or give you a reason why we have refused, but we will only refuse if this is reasonable.

 
 
2.2 To access our services, you will be given an access telephone number and a unique Access PIN Code. Please note the following important matters:
 
 
  • your Access PIN Code is personal to you and you understand that its use initiates charging for our services
  • you must keep confidential your Access PIN Code and passwords
  • you are responsible for all usage on your account
  • you must tell us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account
2.3 There is no minimum contract period. There are no expiration dates. Credit not used will be left in your account and will never expire. Because you prepay to use your account, you will never receive a bill from us.
 
   
2.4 If your account is used without your permission we are not able to refund you for any credit used in this way.
   
2. Unused credit on your account of more than 90 days will remain active but is non refundable. Refunds of less than [£10] will not be made. Any refund will be by the same method your purchase was made.
 
   
3. Call Rates
   
3.1 Each time you use your account, the remaining credit will be reduced by the charges incurred, calculated by us using our Call Rates.
   
3.2 These Call Rates may change at any time. You can check for the most up to date Call Rates on our website. Any calls you make will be charged at the rate that applies when you make the call.
 
   
4. Availability of service
   
4.1 When you use our services, we will use reasonable care and skill, but cannot guarantee that the services will always be available and fault free. Some things will be out of our control because we use networks and equipment we do not own or control.
   
4.2 If you tell us about a problem, we will try to fix it as soon as reasonably possible.
   
4.3 Except for anything we do which causes death or personal injury,  we limit our responsibility to you if we breach these terms and conditions:
   
(a)  we will only be responsible for any losses you suffer to the extent that they are a foreseeable result of any such breach
   
(b) we limit our liability to you to £10
   
(c) we will not be liable for any business losses
   
4.4   Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights. You can get more information about your rights from your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.
   
5. Your responsibilities to us
   
5.1 You must not use or allow your account to be used for any communication which is, or is intended to be:
 
  • fraudulent
  • unlawful
  • malicious
  • damaging to our business or the services we use
5.2 You must use your account in accordance with all reasonable instructions we may give you from time to time.
   
5.3 Salone Talk operates a fair promotional policy. Any free credit or any other form of credit, monetary or otherwise, will not be offered if we detect any fraudulent activities on the Salone Talk platform.
   
5.4 If you do not comply with clause 5, we may suspend the use of your account for as long as is reasonable or if we choose, en d it, and you will compensate us for any reasonable losses we may suffer as a result.
   
6. General
   
6.1 Any telephone numbers, codes or numbers we issue remain our property.
   
6.2 If you breach these terms and conditions and we choose to ignore this, we can still use our rights and remedies at a later date.
   
6.3 We can transfer our rights under this agreement to someone else where we reasonably believe your rights will not be materially affected.
   
6.4 We may be required for law enforcement purposes to provide details of your account to third parties.
   
6.5 This Agreement is subject to Sierra Leone law and any disputes will be settled in the Sierra Leone courts.
